Notices
Notice of the laws taken into account
This Privacy Policy is intended to address applicable privacy and data-protection requirements, including the GDPR, the UK GDPR and applicable UK data-protection legislation, the CCPA and CPRA, other U.S. state privacy laws, cookie and electronic communications rules, and other national, state, or regional privacy regulations, where those laws apply. A reference to a law in this Privacy Policy does not mean that the law applies to every user. Applicability depends on the user's location, the activities of the platform, the information collected, and the technologies used.
Notice of automatic collection
The platform may automatically record a user's IP address, general geographic information, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and the date and time of visits. Cookies and similar technologies may be used, and analytics information may be generated.
Notice of information supplied by users
The platform may receive contact form information, registration or account information where registration is available, and content submitted for publication, listings, bookmarks, press releases, directories, comments, profiles, or similar functionality where provided. Submitted content may take the form of articles, business listings, directory listings, press releases, URLs, website submissions, bookmarks, comments, profiles, business information, contact information, images, documents, or other content.
Notice of publication
Users are notified that content submitted for public display may become public. Published content may be accessible to all visitors, indexed by search engines, cached by search engines, viewed by third parties, shared through external websites, and copied or redistributed outside the platform's control. The platform cannot recall content from third parties once this has occurred.
Notice of purposes
Information may be used for the purposes below, where relevant:
- Operating and maintaining the platform and providing its functionality
- Processing user submissions, reviewing submitted content, publishing approved content, and managing listings
- Responding to inquiries
- Preventing spam, fraud, and abuse and maintaining security
- Analytics, performance measurement, understanding usage, and improving functionality
- Legal and regulatory compliance and enforcing platform policies

Notice of legal bases
Where a legal basis for processing is required, for example under the GDPR or UK GDPR, the platform may rely on consent, performance of a contract, legitimate interests, or compliance with legal obligations. The basis is determined by the specific processing activity.
Notice of cookies and tracking technologies
The platform may use essential cookies, functional cookies, analytics cookies, advertising cookies, and third-party cookies, together with pixels, tags, and similar tracking technologies. The technologies in use differ between websites. Third-party analytics services may be used to understand how visitors interact with the platform and to improve its performance.
Notice of advertising
The platform may display third-party advertisements, although it need not. Where it does, advertising partners and advertising networks may use advertising cookies, device identifiers, and other advertising technologies, and advertising may be contextual, personalized, or interest-based.
Notice of recipients
The platform may use external hosting providers, analytics providers, advertising providers, security services, spam-prevention tools, content delivery networks, embedded media providers, social media services, technical service providers, and other vendors. These third parties may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
Where applicable and legally permitted, information may also be disclosed to professional advisers, to legal authorities, courts, regulators, and law enforcement, and to successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale, or transfer of assets.
Notice regarding sale or sharing
If activities conducted through the platform constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under applicable law, eligible users may have the right to opt out. Whether any activity does so depends on the legal definition and on the arrangements in place.
Notice of international processing
Information may be processed, stored, or transferred in a country other than the user's country of residence. Safeguards that the law requires for international transfers may be applied where applicable.
